About Daniel Bell

Daniel Bell’s background includes two family members that made their careers in lithography. Dan’s father started out as an apprentice lithographer at Safran Printing Com in Detroit, Michigan. Later, his father partnered with another print industry lithographer, and they started a company providing automobile brochures used by the auto dealerships to the customers. While in business for himself, Dan’s uncle, his father’s brother, was hired and brought into the fold. In 1969, Dan’s father sold the printing business in 1969 and moved to California, his lifelong dream.

Dan became involved in the lithography business in 1979 with a company in San Jose, California. During his exposure to lithography, Dan was able to view hundreds of composed lithographs of famous artists, iconic posters, and printed art in general. Subsequently, in 2011, Dan’s passion to take pictures blossomed. He knew this was a passion of his and he pursued it by purchasing a Dimage Z3 Konica Minolta. Dan’s journey with taking photos began.

When Dan began taking photos he would capture just about any subject matter. This exercise prompted him to take his photography to another level. He evolved to a point that he wanted a better camera and purchased a Canon T3i to increase his skill and sense how to craft photos. Later, he purchased a Cannon 5D Mark 4 so he could provide more clarity and detail in his photos. By this point, his passion of taking photos of nature was emerging. Since Dan lives in Santa Cruz, California, there was plenty of beautiful nature to observe and many opportunities to capture unique situations. In 2022, Dan purchased a 600-millimeter lens which allowed him to expand his technics and skills by providing a much closer view of his natural subjects.

Daniel Bell sells his unique photos with an inner passion to share the beauty, gracefully comforting, and pleasing photos to the public.
